Fresh flowers bring a little joy to any space — and with a few simple steps, you can help them last even longer.
-
Start with a clean vase and refresh the water every two–three days. This helps keep bacteria at bay.
-
Trim stems on an angle when you receive your flowers to help them drink more easily.
-
Keep them cool and out of direct sunlight or heat, which shortens their lifespan.
-
Room-temperature water is ideal. Warm water can encourage tight buds to open, but may shorten overall vase life.
-
If you like, you can add a tiny pinch of bleach (¼ teaspoon per litre) to help reduce bacteria.
Simple care, longer-lasting blooms.
